Channel 7’s debut of the tenth season of My Kitchen Rules pulled in a five-city metro audience of 816,000.

Ten’s strategy this year was to launch I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! two weeks before ratings kicked off for the year to cement viewer numbers.

On Monday, the show registered a capital city audience of 676,000 people.

Online, some have criticised the show for lacking star power. The official TV ratings year kicks off on Sunday February 10.
