MARRIED At First Sight TV groom Sean Thomsen has lashed out at his ex-girlfriend Jasmine Pugh claiming she “didn’t give a f**k about me at all” after she told their break-up story in a women’s magazine.

The mother-of-one met Thomsen, 35, at a casino in 2016 before she became romantically involved with him.

“He was talking about us getting married and moving to Melbourne,” she told Woman’s Day last month.

“I never suspected he wanted to apply for the show. I thought we were in love.

“He had a lot of trust issues, and because he was doing FIFO [fly in, fly out] work, he would go through my Facebook and text messages and accuse me of cheating on him.”

But Thomsen denied her allegations, saying he created “blind spots” to any “f**cked up issues they had” during a podcast.

“In my case was a girl last year that I was dating and I did tell her that I was going on the show, just to correct a wrong here,” he said during a profanity-laced chat with former TV groom Jesse Konstantinoff.

“She’s turned around and tried to ruin my reputation before I started on the show. So it just goes to show how she really didn’t give a f**k about me at all.

“And someone I went through a honeymoon phase with, I never thought in a million years, they could be capable of doing that to another person, let alone to someone they apparently loved.”

Despite more than 24 couples taking part in the show since it started in 2015, only two have managed to keep their relationships going well after the cameras stopped rolling — season one’s Zoe and Alex, who now have a baby together, and season two’s Erin and Bryce who have rekindled their love.

It was revealed in January that the low success rate was something producers were hoping to rectify in the upcoming fifth season.

“The success rate is not as high as we’d like,” said executive producer Tara McWilliams. “However our objective is still as high as ever, which is to find relationships for these singles.”

This year matchmakers, John Aiken, Dr Trisha Stratford and Mel Schilling, have made a conscious effort to match couples who live in the same state. And with 5000 applicants — more than ever before — McWilliams said it has been easier to achieve.
