It is the Married At First Sight scandal producers don’t want us to know about … yet.
Two couples from the series are set to be embroiled in a cheating scandal – that of Lauren Dunn and Jonathan McCullough and Ellie Dix and Ben Walters.
Confidential can confirm that while both couples are currently seen ‘loved up’ on air, Dix and McCullough have been dating since production wrapped last year.
Dix and Walters, in fact, made the decision to quit the show a few weeks into shooting as their relationship wasn’t progressing.
During filming of the special reunion episode at the end of the season, McCullough and Dix shocked their fellow cast members by revealing that they had become an item.
When signing up to MAFS, the cast are contractually bound to not disclose anything about their personal relationships outside of the show until it finishes airing in the UK, a month after it is broadcast here in Australia.
That means that if unlucky in love on MAFS, but find someone in the months after shooting, they have to keep their budding relationships under wraps.
Confidential sources, however, have sighted Dix and McCullough together on the Gold Coast on multiple occasions. One such venue included the pair being snapped together at the famous Burleigh Pavilion.
