Love Island pair split over secret girlfriend

A HEARTBROKEN Tayla Damir has dumped Grant Crapp over revelations he had a secret girlfriend just two weeks after the Love Island winners declared their love for each other.

AFTER declaring their love for each other two weeks ago, Love Island winners Grant Crapp and Tayla Damir have decided to end their budding love story.

Damir, 21, made the decision to dump Crapp, 22, after the revelation that he had a secret girlfriend outside the show, proved too big to overlook.

“Obviously, I’m heartbroken. It was a big shock to the system,” she told Nine’s The Fix.

“I still respect him as a person and I think he’s young and he’s made a massively bad decision, and didn’t really think of the consequences that maybe a girl would have fallen in love with him, which just happened to be me.

“Hopefully that’s something he learned through this experience and he learns how to play with people’s emotions.”

Damir and Crapp had earlier this week admitted they were struggling to make their relationship work after the betrayal.

“There was nothing more than I wanted for this work, and to gain my trust back, but I gave him multiple chances inside the villa, and obviously once I found out this information as well, the lies just continue the last 10 days,” she said.

“There was no trust being built up with anything. I couldn’t be in a relationship with someone I don’t trust.”

Damir said after finding out about Crapp’s earlier relationship, she tried to reach out to his then girlfriend.

“I wanna hear her side of the story, and because I felt she deserved to have that closure,” she said.

“He has told me he’s broken up with her now, but has also told me he hasn’t spoken to her since being out the house.

“Either way, I’m being lied to, or I look at him in that way.”

The Perth model said she does not regret splitting the $50,000 prize money with Crapp.

“At the time I was in love and I wanted to share that with the person I was in love with.”
