The daughter of former Australian cricket star Michael Bevan will sing for a spot in the reality TV series.
Bevan, 20, hopes to turn at least one coach’s chair — that of US singer Joe Jonas, because he “has managed to shed his family name and branch out to have a career on his own”.

“People didn’t like that I was born into a family with a famous last name,” Bevan said of her experience with “tall poppy syndrome”.
“I had my confidence knocked.” But Bevan, whose mum Tracy is a McGrath Foundation director, decided to follow her music dream after finishing uni.
And, while Dad’s last-ball four to win against Sri Lanka in a one-day match in 1996 is still one of cricket’s most famous moments, Bevan Jr hopes that tonight’s blind auditions will put her in the spotlight in her own right.
