On Monday morning, the outspoken radio broadcaster claimed widespread criticism of Bartel, 36, is extreme and vowed to support any products that she’s affiliated with after she was dropped as an ambassador from JSHealth Vitamins.

He slammed the wellness brand for cutting ties with the mother-of-two after she was caught on video snorting white powder while breaching Victoria’s lockdown restrictions on Thursday night.

He said they sound like they “run at the first sign of a problem.”

He went on to say that if you support Bartel, “then follow her online and then buy products of the people that haven’t dropped her.”

Sandilands’ co-host Jackie O Henderson pointed out, “They don’t really care about the [video], it’s more to do with breaking the rules… you’re not allowed to be having parties at people’s places.”

Last week, a video of Bartel, who is the ex-wife of former Geelong player Jimmy Bartel, snorting white powder while breaching lockdown restrictions in Victoria went viral and drew criticism from public figures including Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews.

Bartel and three other women involved in an illegal gathering in Richmond on Thursday were each slapped with a $5452 fine for breaching lockdown rules.

Bartel’s business partner and Spray Aus co-founder Ellie Pearson accidentally uploaded the video of Bartel snorting from a $3 Kmart plate on Instagram and the footage was copied and distributed to the media by a follower before it was deleted.

It comes after calls for Sandilands to be removed from the airwaves over comments he made on-air about the Paralympics last week, including describing the event as “horrific”.

Greens Senator Jordon Steele-John led criticism and called for Sandilands to be sacked.

Media watchdog The Australian Communications and Media Authority told Confidential it has received 8 complaints about The Kyle and Jackie O show this month related to the Paralympics.

“In accordance with co-regulatory processes, complainants with contact details were referred to the broadcaster for a response in the first instance,” a spokeswoman said.

“If the broadcaster does not respond or complainants are not satisfied with a response received, they may complain to the ACMA.”
