His best mate, former King of the Cross John Ibrahim, has done it and now Kyle Sandilands has revealed he wants to follow suit.

Sydney breakfast radio king Kyle Sandilands is ready to become a dad.

The 50-year-old announced on-air on Wednesday that he and girlfriend of two years, Tegan Kynaston, are trying for a baby.

“ … We have decided that we’ll try for a baby I suppose. There’s a lot of pressure, I didn’t want to bring it up in case she feels pressure,” Sandilands said on the Kyle and Jackie O show.

The broadcaster was discussing his baby plans during a chat with his co-host Jackie O Henderson and psychic to the stars, Georgia Walker.

Sandilands and Kynaston first went public with their relationship in 2019 following his split with girlfriend of eight years, Imogen Anthony.

He was pictured meeting Kynaston’s parents during a getaway in far north Queensland, however an insider previously told Confidential that they are in “no rush” to get married.

“He hasn’t proposed, they’re not engaged,” the source said.

Kyle and Tegan were spotted together for the first time in 2019.

Last year, the couple moved into a multimillion-dollar Woollahra mansion and more recently they purchased a $1.3 million love nest near Port Douglas.

Sandilands has previously spoken about his hopes of settling down with Kynaston, 34, who is his former assistant-turned-communications director.

“Of course I want to [settle down]. I’m the kid who was thrown in the gutter at 15 … I’m always looking for someone to love me back. I’ve got a lot to give but, you know, I want it back. Probably more than I want to give,” he told 60 Minutes.

It comes as their close friends, Kings Cross identity, John Ibrahim and model Sarah Budge are preparing to welcome their first child together.
