Wellness influencer Keira Rumble has welcomed the birth of her first child after six devastating miscarriages and years of health struggles.

Wellness influencer Keira Rumble has welcomed the birth of her first child.

On July 5th, the 30-year-old gave birth to a “miracle” baby boy named Hunter Philip Harris at 36 weeks weighing 3.07 kilograms after years of health struggles and six devastating miscarriages.

“We are doing really well. It still feels surreal to have baby Hunter in my arms every day. It is hard not having our family being able to see him, but trying to look at the positives of us soaking up every moment with him,” she told Confidential.

“We started off a bit rough as Hunter was whisked away to special care a few moments after he was born as he was born prematurely.

“It is funny how you have a vision of those first few moments after birth, and then when the time comes, it looks nothing like you had thought... My hopes of breastfeeding right from the beginning were not to be as he was tube fed with my colostrum and formula for the first few days while in special care. When he was strong enough we did some attempts at latching which wasn’t easy like I thought it would be.”

Rumble and her partner Anthony are basking in the joys of parenthood after a difficult IVF journey.

The Krumbled Foods CEO suffered six pregnancy losses including a heterotopic pregnancy and has struggled with endometriosis which affected her fertility.

She said becoming a mother has been a dream come true.

“Having a baby is painful, it is messy but it is absolutely incredible,” she said.

“The biggest lesson of all is just be in the moment and trust your instincts. Motherhood is a journey, from infertility through to now, every expectation I had has been thrown out the window and I’m learning to just be.”
