Wellness influencer, Keira Rumble, has opened up about her miracle pregnancy after she conceived through IVF following six miscarriages.
Rumble, 30, has experienced pain and discomfort due to an overstimulated ovary and she told Confidential that she is cautiously optimistic as she enters her third trimester due to her medical history.
“I went into my first round of IVF not expecting much as I have friends who have done 9/10 rounds,” she said.
“Having a history of severe endometriosis, an ectopic pregnancy and a blood clotting genetic condition called Factor V Leiden, there were a lot of unknowns.
“Looking down at that positive pregnancy test was exciting, but the fear attached after six pregnancy losses, unfortunately, makes for stress that comes with a positive pregnancy test. It wasn’t until around the nine-week mark that I felt comfortable enough to finally be somewhat excited. The anxiety is still very much there, being a high-risk pregnancy. However as the weeks get on and as I feel our miracle boy kick, I feel much more at ease.”
The Krumbled Foods founder said it’s important for women having fertility issues to listen to their bodies.
“I want women to know that they are not alone, and above everything else, trust their gut,” she said.
“If something doesn’t feel right or you’re not getting the right medical treatment you deserve. Look elsewhere.
“I went to three fertility specialists until I found my fertility specialist. You need to connect with the person that is quite literally helping you create your family. If you don’t feel supported or heard, it is time to look elsewhere.”
