KATE Ritchiesays she wants to have more children.

After months of rumours and speculation about the status of her marriage on which she has never commented, the Nova drive host says she’s hoping to become a mother for the second time.

“Of course! Well, I think so! It’s the question on everybody’s lips all of the time — not just for me, but for everybody,” laughed Ritchie when Confidential put the question of more children to her.

“Of course I would love to have more children, but for now May’s wonderful and I’m just enjoying her.”

Speaking publicly for the first time about her husband Stuart Webb, who was reported to have moved out of the couple’s home last November, Ritchie revealed the pair would love to expand their brood.

“I’m one of four kids and Stewart is one of five, and there are kids everywhere,” she said.

“My mum and dad have their hands full with the grandkids at the moment, they’re keeping them very well entertained.”

Ritchie’s enthusiasm for children goes beyond expanding her own brood, with the former Home and Away star also penning more kids’ books.

“I’m still doing some writing for more children’s books,” she said.

“I’m slowly working on that … I’m able to work from home in the mornings because of doing the drive shift with Nova. The idea of working from home is still a work in progress, it’s a little bit challenging with a little one.”

Nevertheless, Ritchie was full of praise for her Nova bosses and co-workers. “Radio is really an incredible gig.

“We’re nationally number one, and that’s wonderful, it takes the pressure off anything — you just turn up and do what you do, nobody’s analysing or telling you to change things.

“We can just do what we do and enjoy it. Not everybody has that luxury in their work life.”
