FORMER Miss Universe Jesinta Campbell has parted ways with her manager of six years, in the hope of launching herself as an international, high-end model.
Campbell last week left long-time agent Sharon Finnigan, who still manages her fiance Buddy Franklin, and signed with global company IMG, who looks after top models, including Gemma Ward, Alexandra Agoston, Bambi Northwood-Blyth and Gigi Hadid.
In her bid to be the next supermodel, the ambitious 25-year-old has also enlisted publicist Annie Kelly — the woman behind Miranda Kerr, Lara Bingle and Shanina Shaik.
The sudden move has many industry insiders questioning Campbell’s loyalty with Finnigan, who also looks after Nine’s Karl Stefanovic, Seven’s Natalie Barr and Cricketer Shane Watson.
Industry stalwart, Finnigan, has been credited with morphing Campbell from a pageant queen, who graced the cover of men’s mag FHM, to a household name, who landed a role as David Jones ambassador.
When Confidential contacted Finnigan for comment, she confirmed the news and wished Campbell the best. She also confirmed Franklin was staying on her books.
“With Karl and Buddy I have my hands full,” she joked.
