Aussie clothing labels have long punched above their weight on the international stage. Our shoe designers, not so much — but Mara & Mine founders Jasmine Stefanovic and Tamie Ingham are on a mission to change that.
“Our brand is for women who want to be comfortable but still look good,” Stefanovic said.

Specialising in fashionable flats but branching out to kitten heels, Mara & Mine recently launched in upmarket New York department store Bergdorf Goodman.
With Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia kicking off on Sunday, Stefanovic and Ingham have partnered up with the events hotel partner, Ovolo Sydney, to release limited edition slippers.
The duo will attend several key shows throughout the week to support their fellow designers.
“There are so many amazing emerging Australian designers that are being recognised internationally,” Ingham said.
“It is an exciting time. We love to collaborate, to share our brand with other creatives.”
Stefanovic, meanwhile, confirmed she has officially changed her surname from Yarbrough after marrying TV journalist Karl Stefanovic in December.
“I’m changing everything over at the moment,” she said. “I’m getting there slowly. There’s a lot to do.”
