HE didn’t find his happily ever after with Sophie Monk on The Bachelor, but now ‘stage five clinger’ Jarrod Woodgate wants to be front and centre when other couples seal theirs.

Woodgate has revealed he is becoming a wedding celebrant so he can officially help couples tie the knot on his family’s winery in Gippsland, Victoria.

“Business has picked up dramatically after the show with the combination of weddings to the point where I want to get a celebrant’s licence so I can marry people on the winery,” Woodgate, 31, said.

The Bachelor star jetted into Sydney on Thursday for an appearance on Studio 10 to promote his new role with Melbourne shopping precinct Chapel Street.

“I’m trying to get Sydneysiders to fly down to Melbourne for the Christmas season and have romantic dinners and stay in Chapel St,” he said.

Sporting a serious Fiji tan, Woodgate confirmed TV’s worst-kept secret on the show telling viewers he has just returned from filming spin-off series Bachelor In Paradise.

But if his second shot at finding love on reality TV is an unsuccessful as the first, Woodgate might have more luck online.

He says he has been inundated with social media messages from women wanting to date him and was relieved fans finally got to see “the real Jarrod”.

“People’s perception of me has definitely changed which is such a good thing,” he said. “They say I’m a lot taller and a lot better looking in person and that TV does not do me any justice,” he joked.

“Having your followers jump up by 17,000 overnight after one episode, you know you’re doing something right and people are finally understanding what you’re about.”

Woodgate says he is still in contact with his ‘ex’ Monk, who continues to fight speculation she has split from her chosen beau Stu Laundy.

“It’s not strange anymore,” he said of their relationship. “It’s her birthday next week so I will probably give her a call and wish her happy birthday. We haven’t chatted for about five or six weeks, she’s going through her own times, if she wants to reach out I’m sure she will.”
