With a model turned TV host mother and news anchor father, Allegra Overton knows a thing or two about the fickle entertainment industry.
So the 17-year-old eldest daughter of Jessica Rowe and Nine Network news anchor Peter Overton is well-equipped when it comes to surviving and thriving the notoriously tough world of modelling.
“Honestly, it would be silly me not acknowledging that it is a cutthroat industry,” Allegra Overton said.
“That would just not be a mature way to look at this. But both of my parents have said they will support me whatever I choose to do. They have told me there will be rejection and it’s not guaranteed I will see success.
“They just want to see me happy and doing something I love and want me to give modelling a go.”
One piece of wisdom she takes on every job is to “be kind and humble” - something both her parents are known for.
“They both talk to me a lot about the importance of remaining humble, thanking everyone and being very grateful.”
Despite only kicking off her modelling career last year, Allegra has already landed a gig with one of the country’s most iconic brands - Bonds.
Bonds and Aussie fashion brand Double Rainbouu have partnered to release a 15-piece collection that takes you from bed to beach.
”This is such a special opportunity. And it just doesn’t feel real. Honestly,” Overton said.
