‘Incredibly proud’ Australian model Shanina Shaik gives birth to new son
Australian Victoria’s Secret runway star Shanina Shaik has given birth, with the baby boy’s proud grandmother breaking the news by congratulating the happy parents online.

Australian model Shanina Shaik has given birth to her baby boy.
“My gorgeous grandson was born last night at 12:50 on the 16th September 2022,” proud grandmother Kim Shaik posted to Facebook.
“Never thought I would feel this much love again but my heart is full. His name is still to be announced by the happy, incredibly proud parents.”
The Victoria’s Secret runway star flew her mother to Los Angeles for the birth.
She and her partner Matthew Adesuyan discovered the sex of their newborn at a Hollywood Hills baby shower in July, by popping a bottle of tequila filled with blue beverage.
The 31-year-old hosted the intimate baby shower at a private home surrounded by a close group of family and friends, including Australian DJ Georgia Sinclair, and American model Jasmine Tookes and Nicole Williams English, the wife of American footballer Larry English.
She also celebrated Father’s Day with Adesuyan earlier this month, while she was still pregnant.
“It is special for us, because being Australian and Matthew; American, we get to celebrate two Father’s, AND Mother’s Days,” Shaik told Confidential at the time.
“It was American father’s day in June, so we had a little celebration then, it felt surreal and special having our son with us, but not yet born into the world.”
When asked what type of a father she believes Adesuyan, a well respected band manager in the US, would be, Shaik said: “Matthew is an amazing partner, who only shows me love, respect and care — so I am sure it will be the same for our new family member”.
“I am certain our son is going to bring us all together and there will be even MORE love in our household, as we go from only having each other, to becoming a family.”
Shaik revealed her pregnancy back in May, by sharing a series of images of her growing baby bump that she labelled “the new love of my life”.
