’I’m looking for someone with personality’: Single mum Kim Hartnett joins the cast

BIKINI model single mum Kim Hartnett will be a last-minute addition to the cast of much anticipated reality show Love Island tonight. She says she doesn’t care about the looks of a guy anymore and prefers someone with a great personality.

BIKINI model single mum Kim Hartnett will be a last-minute addition to the cast of much anticipated reality show Love Island tonight.

The 21-year-old, who has had two boob jobs and wants a third, is the 11th castmate to head into the Majorca villa as an intruder contestant, or ‘bomb’ as producers are calling them, to spend up to six weeks on the Spanish island.

“I would never put anyone before my son,” Hartnett, also a freelance hairdresser who specialises in extensions, told Confidential of her two-year-old son, Braxton.

“I haven’t had that reaction yet but if a guy is scared off then it is not someone I really want to be with anyway so that doesn’t phase me at all.”

Hartnett’s ex, Jamie, will look after their son while she is on the show.

Hosted by Sophie Monk, Love Island is a Big Brother-style reality dating show where genetically blessed, and enhanced, 20-somethings vie for each other’s affections.

It will launch on Nine’s Go and Now channels at 8.30pm.

“Before I was all about looks, the buff guy, all about looks and having a nice car,” Hartnett said when asked what she’s looking for in a guy.

“Now all of those things turn me off like there’s no tomorrow. If some guy even talks to me about money or what car he drives I’m like, next. It is all about personality for me and if we gel and you can make me laugh, pretty much anyone has a chance.”

As for her own looks, Hartnett admits people can get the wrong idea about her because of her fake tan, hair extensions and body enhancements.

“People think I am high maintenance when I am really not,” she said.

“On a day-to-day basis I hate wearing make-up. There are days where I don’t even brush my hair. I love being at home in trackies with my hair up.”
