KATY Perry has vowed to eat meat pies and drink beer when she heads Down Under this month.
The pop superstar will touch down in Sydney for a whirlwind promotional tour later this month and is set to perform live on The Voice Australia.
“I want to witness you, Australia,” Perry said of her upcoming visit.
“We’re going to have some beer, some meat pies and some Tim Tams, and, oh yeah, talk about some new songs.”
Perry’s fifth studio album, Witness, is out this week and has already spawned hits Chained To The Rhythm and Swish Swish.
The clip for her track Bon Appetit features Perry in a hedonistic food extravaganza, sexily covered in vegetables and immersed in a cauldron of boiling water. Rap group of the moment Migos also appear in the video clip.
The I Kissed A Girl star will play the famous Glastonbury Festival on June 26 with her Witness tour before heading to Canada and the United States.
Show dates have been announced through to June next year in the UK, with some speculating that Australian shows are likely to be announced when she visits.
Sporting her sexy short blonde pixie-cut hair, Perry was in Paris overnight and will perform at Ariana Grande’s One Love Manchester concert tomorrow morning our time, alongside the likes of Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, Niall Horan, Little Mix and Robbie Williams.
