Hugh Jackman spotted in Sydney with daughter Ava in court, but it’s not for what you think

SYDNEYSIDERS on both sides of the law did a double take yesterday when Hollywood star Hugh Jackman made an appearance at a city court building.

When he’s not visiting people in high places, Hugh Jackman is doing what all hunky Hollywood action stars do – workout!

The sexy actor spent the morning pumping iron at a North Sydney gym where he was seen working on his bulging muscles prior to cooling off in the surf.

Describing his sweat sesh as the “best way to start the day,” Hugh also said that a swim was the perfect way to finish off a gruelling workout.

“Awesome, always good when it’s finished right.”

This follows yesterday’s double take, when fans spotted the Wolverine star and his daughter Ava, 11, making an appearance at a city court building.

The pair headed into the Queens Square complex, past the security scanners and up to level eight.

But they had neither fallen foul of the law nor was he researching an upcoming role.

He was simply taking the opportunity to catch up with his big brother, prominent and busy silk, Ian Jackman SC.

Father-of-four Ian famously put Nathan Tinkler through his paces during a tense 2012 court battle over a multimillion-dollar dispute with developer Mirvac.

Yesterday Ian was acting in a commercial law battle before the state’s chief judge in equity, Justice Patricia Bergin, while his brother and niece watched from the public gallery.

Having wrapped up a location shoot in New Mexico last week, the actor and his clan are home to spend time with their extended family and try out their new Bondi bolthole.

In March the Jackmans purchased a new three-storey luxury apartment overlooking Bondi Beach for $5.9 million.

While Jackman and Ava spent part of yesterday morning at the beach, Deborra Lee Furness and the couple’s son Oscar, 16, were seen strolling and getting coffee nearby.
