Months after secretly welcoming the birth of his twin babies, Bondi resident Joel Edgerton headed out solo to hit the waves on Thursday.

Actor Joel Edgerton hit the surf at Bondi Beach during a solo outing on Thursday morning.
Onlookers spotted the Underground Railroad star wearing a black rash vest paired with swimming shorts and a bucket hat while climbing waves and working his way through a swell.
Edgerton, 47, is spending the holidays in his old stomping ground after returning to Australia from New York at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He lives in Bondi with longtime girlfriend Vogue fashion editor Christine Centenera and their seven-month-old twins however the family also own a home in the Big Apple.
“Australia is where our family is and where we recharge,” Centenera previously told Vogue.
In May, The Great Gatsby actor announced the birth of his children but he has not publicly revealed their names or gender.
“I just ran away from the hospital for a moment,” he told media mogul Oprah Winfrey. “I can’t even put it into words. I’m in love.”
The couple, who began dating in 2018, have kept their relationship mostly private.
Edgerton and Centenera, 39, knew each other for 20 years before they began dating.
“We’re both very motivated and have hectic travel schedules but it really works for us in an unconventional way,” she once said.
“The fact that we don’t work in the same industry is refreshing for us,” she said. “We’re in awe of what each other do.”
