Sydney restaurateur Maurice Terzini has tied the knot at his world famous Bondi Icebergs venue.
Terzini, 58, and Heart of Bone jewellery designer partner Emma Addams wed on Monday afternoon surrounded by family and close friends.
The venue is in the midst of a major renovation and will reopen in December, 20 years since it first opened.
Terzini said he couldn’t have been married anywhere else.
“It wasn’t a site that we could have hired out to someone, We had to bring everything in,” Terzini told Confidential.
“We wanted to do it there because it is my spiritual home. We didn’t have a kitchen, we cooked off a barbecue. For us, it was just the fact we were able to be there, which was important. It was a beautiful day.”
Addams of course designed the couple’s wedding rings.
Among the around 40 guests were Angus McDonald and Connie Mitchell from Sneaky Sound System, PE Nation’s Pip Edwards, Kit Willow from KITX fashion label and Sydney publicity doyenne Maria Farmer.
“Mr and Mrs Terzini. In an intimate moment in a building site perched on top of the Pacific Ocean yesterday among our family and friends we celebrated love and unity. I DO,” a statement from the couple read.
Models Tyrone Dylan Susman and Hannah Elise flew in from overseas, from Paris and New York respectively.
Earlier this year, Terzini told Confidential Addams was his “soulmate”.
“She’s the one,” he said. “We’ve inherited a beautiful Brady bunch.”
Both have been married previously with Terzini admitting in the past his dedication to his work had negatively impacted his relationships.
“In the past I’ve sacrificed my family for work,” he said. “I’ve been separated three times but I’m in a beautiful relationship now with Emma.”
Terzini is one of Sydney’s highest profile hospitality barons and fashion identities while Addams brand – Heart of Bone – is favoured by top international celebs including Billie Eilish and Madonna.
