Having quarantined in great comfort for the past two weeks at a Robertson farm recently sold by Sydney property developer John Boyd and wife Marly, George and Amal Clooney on Friday packed up their twins and flew out of Sydney bound for a film set on Hamilton Island.
Clooney is due to join Julia Roberts on the set of their new film Ticket to Paradise in upcoming days and is expected to swap the splendour of Mount Robertson Farm — built from the sandstone of a Glebe church ruin — for something infinitely more Queensland bling this weekend.
Starstruck Robertson locals have spent the past fortnight searching in vain for the Clooneys and their twins, Ella and Alexander, aged four, in the town and in the region of Pearsons Lane but on Friday had caught nary a glimpse of the famous family nor the suspicious and menacing black van that conveyed them in and out of their jaunty little country town.

“That would be wonderful,” she squealed before her offsider “Kathy”, perhaps mishearing the inquiry, merely ventured a squeak.
As the Clooney’s plane touched down in Queensland on Friday, Robertson local and tireless charity fundraiser Skye Leckie was forced to admit even she had failed to fix eyes on Clooney — the surest confirmation yet the megastar complied with his strict quarantine orders.
