Drugs are so strictly banned on rowdy UK reality show Geordie Shore that cast members are inspected by sniffer dogs and cameras are installed in the toilets.

Aussie lad Alex MacPherson has been on the show for two seasons and he said while the show is definitely wild, there are absolutely no drugs allowed.

“Every time I come in they’ve got sniffer dogs, they are fully professional,” he told Confidential.

“I don’t know about the past but definitely now there’s a no drug policy.

“If they find anything you’re out.

“There’s security all around us, there’s even cameras in the toilets so good luck if you want to but I would never ever.”

Cameras in the toilets has meant MacPherson has had to get used to doing his “business” on camera, but it’s not as weird as being with a woman knowing his mum is watching.

“When I did my first season it was really weird knowing when you’re having sex that people are watching you,” he said.

“Especially when your family members say ‘I’m going to watch you’ I say ‘No! No you’re not!’

“My mum said the other day ‘why don’t we get the family together and watch the new season’ I said ‘No we’re not doing that, we’re staying away from the TV for a couple of months’.”

Season 19 of Geordie Shore premieres on Wednesday April 10 on MTV, available to watch on Foxtel.
