Former Home And Away actor Lincoln Lewis taking acting classes in hopes of landing roles

It has been a quiet few years for actor Lincoln Lewis following his identity being stolen by a women on the internet and going through the courts to solve the ordeal. Now he wants to get back to what he loves, acting.

After a tumultuous couple of years, the acting front has been quiet for actor Lincoln Lewis, but things are looking up.

From 2011 Lewis’ identity was stolen to catfish women on the internet, an ordeal that went through the courts and on Friday ended in Lydia Abdelmalek being sentenced to two years and eight months prison.

Lewis, 31, said looking to the future he just wants to be back on set doing what he loves.

“To be honest the last 18 months or 2 years have been a bit slower,” he told Confidential at the Montblanc launch of their new fragrance, Explorer.

“I know what it’s like to not work and I’m trying to stay fresh and do classes but I just want to get back on set.

“Whether that be film or television I don’t really mind — TV just keeps getting better and better and it’s basically competing with some of the best films so whether it’s either I don’t really mind I just want to get on set.”

Shooting to fame on Home And Away, Lewis has a role in film Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan coming up, which premieres on August 8.

He features alongside Travis Fimmel, Daniel Webber, Luke Bracey and Richard Roxburgh in the period drama that features around 100 young and inexperienced Australian and New Zealand soldiers who are forced to hold off an army of 2500 enemy soldiers.

“Working on that was amazing,” he said.

“We’d get on set from 4am, go get all the gear, get your gun.

“You go to the armourer and sign your gun out and you’ve got that for the day.

“There was one day where we were charging through all this long grass, just hours and hours going back and forward with this huge drone overhead shooting it.

“There was rain machines, gunfights and explosions. “It was just incredible.”
