Former Bachelorette Georgia Love struggles with seeing her ex, Matty J with other women

FORMER Bachelorette Georgia Love says she is still getting her head around seeing Matty J — the guy she courted, kissed and then dumped on national television — as The Bachelor.

FORMER Bachelorette Georgia Love says she is still getting her head around seeing Matty J — the guy she courted, kissed and then dumped on national television — as The Bachelor.

Love, who is happily coupled up with her final choice Lee Elliot, said she’s struggled seeing her former flame dating multiple other women, even though she gets the irony of him having been in the same position watching The Bachelorette play out on air.

“It is a bit weird being Matty because the last time I saw him was on that roof top in Singapore,” Love told Confidential at Priceline’s The Beauty Prescription event, “so it’s strange to see him there dating and kissing and stuff, but he had to sit there and watch me do that as well.

“It was so recent that I was on there so it was always going to be weird watching that show again and knowing what happens that you don’t see on camera.”

The Palmers Skincare ambassador said she felt the 30-year-old had “evolved and grown” from his time on the Bachelorette.

But it appears the type of girl he’s looking for hasn’t, with current frontrunner Laura being labelled a Love lookalike and “Georgia 2.0”.

“It doesn’t bother me,” Love said of the comparison. “I just hope Laura doesn’t feel strange about it. I hope she doesn’t hate me for that, I haven’t started the rumour.”

Love — who struck up a friendship with former Bachelor Richie Strahan’s girlfriend Alex Nation — said she doesn’t know if the pair are still together after rumours of their split.

“I haven’t spoken to her about this,” Love said, “without wanting to speak out of turn, I don’t know whether they have broken up or not.

“But I have done long distance relationships before and they’re really bloody tough so if they have split, it’s a hard world out there to do that, but they’re both confident, beautiful and self-sufficient people.”
