Fashion Week: Jessica Gomes reveals she has split with actor boyfriend Xavier Samuels

ONE of the world’s hottest models, Jessica Gomes has revealed she and long-time partner Xavier Samuel have split after two years together. The separation hasn’t stopped her from working as she took to the catwalk in a stunning swimsuit she designed.

Ahead of her return to the Fashion Week runway for Jets swimwear on Tuesday, the beauty confirmed the split but said she and the Australian actor were still on good terms.

“We decided to part ways last year. We’re still friends, its all very amicable,” she said. “I’m very happy at the moment.”

The couple went public in October 2016, where they were spotted kissing and cuddling in Los Angeles.

She had revealed to Sunday Telegraph’s Stellar magazine a month later that having love in her life was important.

“I want to have a family,” she says. “I think it’ll be at a time that is right. It’s something I [will] feel in my gut — if something is too difficult, I won’t force it.”

The 32-year-old beauty hasn’t missed a step career-wise following the breakup, designing a capsule collection for Jets, which she modelled on the runway, as part of the Australian brand’s showcase.

“It’s been a long process,” she said. “I came on board as an ambassador just over a year-and-a-half-ago so its nice to be part of the brand as a designer.

“It’s an eight piece collection, really simple, refined shapes. I like to keep things timeless so I’m really excited to launch that here and give everyone a sneak peek.”

The David Jones ambassador took to the runway in a range of the brand’s designs, including a dramatic corsetted bodysuit and skirt which hugged her famous curves.

Gomes said she was planning to return to Los Angeles soon and was focused on working on her beauty brand, Equal Beauty and her acting career.

“I’m still auditioning and things like that,” she said. “Everyone’s said they’ve seen ‘Father Figures’ because it’s screening on the plane at the moment.”
