Fashion Week 2016: A model’s stunning fall from grace

IT was the ultimate fashion slip at Barangaroo last night when this model landed on her backside in front of the A-list guests as Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia kicked off.

IT was the ultimate fashion slip when this model landed on her backside in front of the A-list guests as Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia kicked off.

Wearing a white, origami-style Toni Maticevski design, a pair of towering stilettos proved her downfall as the model appeared to roll her ankle and fall — managing a small smile as she went down.

In true professional style, the young catwalker rose quickly and finished her lap of the expansive, tiered runway. Maticevski’s rep Prasana Lee refused to disclose the name of the willowy fashion victim, who joined dozens of models navigating the tricky runway in the Melbourne designer’s voluminous designs.
