Farmer Wants a Wife star Sam Messina is hopeful that he will find love on the upcoming season of Channel 7’s hit show.
The 25-year-old sheep and crop farmer from Canowindra, NSW, is one of five farmers who will appear on the new series and he told Confidential that whoever captures his heart will first have to impress the most important woman in his life – his mother.
“I do have a close bond with my mother,” he said. “Her opinion means a lot to me because mum knows who I am.
“She knows I want a relationship that will take me right to the end, a best friend, a lover. She’s always believed in looking for inner beauty, never judge a book by its cover.”
Messina decided to do the show after struggling to find suitable matches on dating apps.
“My experience on dating apps was slow and painful,” he said.
“I would jump on Tinder, expand the radius to its full range and still just be left with Mary down the road who was in her 70s. Unfortunately she was a little too old for me.”
