Spoiler alert. Confidential hears love has blossomed on set of reality show, The Farmer Wants A Wife.
It is no secret that it is often hit and miss on reality dating shows and word from the Farmer set is that sheep farmer Andrew Guthrie has fallen head over heels with one of the women with whom he has been partnered.
When contacted, Channel 7 was keeping quiet on detail around the upcoming season launch later this year although it is understood Guthrie is partnered with eight women at the start of the season.
Filming has finished and Confidential has heard Guthrie’s final three contenders are Ashleigh Adams, Jess Nathan and Rachel Smith.
Other farmers set to search for love this season include Matt Trewin, Will Dwyer, Sam Messina and Rob Campbell.
Hosted by Natalie Gruzlewski, the 2021 hit out of Farmer Wants A Wife will be the 11th season of the reality show.
“I’m so excited to guide another crop of Aussie farmers in their search for true love. As Australia has seen, our farmers and ladies wear their hearts on their sleeves, and it’s a privilege to be a part of their life-changing love stories.”
Differerent to other dating shows, women apply for specific farmers, who then choose a top eight to meet. From there, they get to know their prospective hopefuls before five women are invited back to their farm to get to know them better.
It seems it is a proven formula for finding love with the format producing nine marriages and 23 babies.
Having originated in the UK in 2001 with the first season, it has been franchised globally with 170 marriages in total and 387 babies worldwide.
There have been seasons as far afield as Estonia, the Ukraine, the United States, South Africa, Romania and Quebec.
