Ex-Bachelor Matt Agnew reveals new love, comedian Gen Fricker

Former Bachelor star Matt Agnew has lifted the lid on his new flame following his public break up with reality TV sweetheart Chelsie McLeod.

Bachelor Matt Agnew has gone red carpet official with his new love.

The former reality star walked the ruby rug with rumoured new flame, comedian Gen Fricker, at Nicole Kidman’s Being the Ricardos premiere at the Hayden Orpheum in Cremorne.

Agnew at first walked the red carpet solo, avoiding journalists but posing for photographers.

Fricker initially attempted to walk around the throng of media but was called on to the carpet by Agnew.

It comes a week after the pair sparked romance rumours as they attended a smaller screening event in Sydney.

He shared a snap of the couple together on Instagram with the caption: “Funny movies with funny people”.

This week too, they posed separately on the carpet for a premiere screening of West Side Story at the State Theatre.

Agnew has been fiercely private about his love life since appearing on The Bachelor in 2019.

In that series he chose Chelsie McLeod as his winner but the pair broke up just a few months later.

Earlier this year he was romantically linked to runner-up in the series, Abbie Chatfield, who is now dating Bachelorette contestant Konrad Bien-Stephens.

Originally from Melbourne, Agnew moved north to Sydney during the pandemic. He is a self-professed maths nerd who works in data science.

Fricker, 32, meanwhile is a former Triple J presenter who was in 2018 allegedly kissed while on air by an intruder that broke into the ABC Sydney studios.
