Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman film Thor: Love and Thunder in LA

Chris Hemsworth and Thor co-star Natalie Portman have been spotted in Los Angeles, months after filming together in Sydney.

Hollywood actors Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman reunited for the fourth instalment of Marvel blockbuster Thor this week.

The pair, who portray Thor and Jane Foster respectively in Thor: Love and Thunder, walked hand-in-hand as they filmed scenes in Los Angeles on Monday.

Sporting a blonde wig, Hemsworth, 38, towered over Portman, who returns as Foster for the first time since Thor: The Dark World in 2013.

Portman, 40, will feature prominently in the film as a female version of the god Mighty Thor, wielding Mjolnir, Thor’s trademark hammer.

Hemsworth jetted from his home in Byron Bay to the US last week and jumped straight into filming.

Earlier this year, filming began at Sydney’s Fox Studios after being delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the Taika Waititi-directed film is expected to be released next year.

The star-studded cast includes Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord and Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster.

Matt Damon will reprise his role as an Asgardian actor who played the character of Loki in a stage play in Thor: Ragnarok alongside Sam Neill and Luke Hemsworth.

Actor Russell Crowe was cast in the role of the Greek God Zeus.

The smorgasbord board of A-list stars to film in NSW is set to continue after Sigourney Weaver’s Amazon Studio series Lost Flowers of Alice Hart started filming last week.

The seven-part series will create 277 jobs for cast and crew and forecast to inject $27.3 million into the NSW economy.
