Chris Hemsworth, Matt Damon and Idris Elba dress up at ‘80s themed birthday party
Chris Hemsworth partied with his Thor co-star Matt Damon and British actor Idris Elba as the trio channelled ‘80s group Run DMC at themed birthday bash at Crown.

Sydney is fast becoming a “mini Hollywood” as stars swap Tinseltown for the Harbour city and that was apparent on Saturday as A-list stars flocked to Crown for a private birthday bash.
Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth and Matt Damon took a break from filming the upcoming Marvel blockbuster as they partied with VIP guests at an invite-only soiree for Hemsworth’s assistant and childhood friend Aaron Grist.
Hemsworth traded his Thor costume for ‘80s garb in-line with the party theme as he, Damon and British actor Idris Elba dressed as Run DMC.
Liam Hemsworth was also spotted amongst the crowd, along with former Home and Away star Kate Ritchie and Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky, who rocked leg warmers and a side ponytail.
“A little 80s themed party never did any harm! Happy birthday @azzagrist,” Hemsworth wrote on Instagram.
TV presenter Lauren Phillips also attended with her boyfriend, private jet tycoon Paul O’Brien.
Meanwhile, a massive new set for Thor: Love and Thunder has been erected at The Coast Golf and recreation club in Little Bay.
Filming previously took place at Centennial Park and Moore Park’s Fox Studios.
It comes as more celebrities are relocating Down Under for work as production companies move filming from the US due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Elba, who tested positive for COVID-19 early last year before making a full recovery, is in town filming George Miller’s fantasy romance Three Thousand Years of Longing with Tilda Swinton.
Big Little Lies star Nicole Kidman and Country music singer Keith Urban left Nashville for Byron Bay last year to film Hulu miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers and The Voice Australia respectively.
Other celebrities who are now calling Australia home for now include Zac Efron, Rita Ora, Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen, who have enrolled their children at a local school.
Natalie Portman, Christian Bale and Tessa Thompson are also in town.
