She may be flying high, but Aussie Hollywood star Margot Robbie was happy to leave her Birds Of Prey shoot for a down-to-earth landing at Byron Bay for a mate’s hen’s party on Saturday.

The 28-year-old has been holed up in Los Angeles shooting the anticipated Harley Quinn spin-off, but joined her old Gold Coast friends, including bride-to-be Anna MacKillop, at the event, inland of Byron Bay.

Later that day, Robbie was spotted on the dance floor at Byron Bay nightclub Cheeky Monkeys before picking up a post-boogie snack from a local takeaway shop.

Robbie grew up on the Gold Coast, and in 2016 married long-term partner Tom Ackerley at the nearby Coorabell property in the Byron Bay hinterland.

She’s been busy with the new Harley Quinn film, but did jet to London last week for the BAFTAs, where she was up for — but missed out on — best supporting actress for Mary Queen Of Scots.
