The E! People’s Choice Awards were a little more Posh than usual, with Victoria Beckham making her first public appearance since her visit to Sydney. The show went ahead despite the Californian fires, with officials asking celebrities to urge the public for donations.

Beckham accepted the Fashion Icon Award and was one of a number of A-listers who paid tribute to victims of the California wildfires, the worst in the state’s history.

Rather than cancel the awards, organisers encouraged celebrities to use the stage to appeal for donations.
