Ruby Rose is heading back to Australia after ruffling feathers in Hollywood.

Confidential hears Rose, who has been living in Los Angeles for several years, will retreat to her old stomping ground for the summer after recently going head-to-head with production company Warner Bros. TV over bullying claims, which they have denied.

The former model, who played the lead role of Kate Kane in Batwoman for one season up until last year, recently slammed Warner Bros., Berlanti Productions and US broadcaster The CW network in a scathing Instagram post which sparked a war of words.

“Enough is enough. I’m going to tell the whole world what really happened on that set,” she wrote.

Rose alleged that after she had emergency surgery for an injury which she sustained on set in 2019, she was asked to return to work early by the former head of Warner Bros. TV Peter Roth, “or the show would effectively not be able to continue”.

At the time, Rose was rushed to hospital after the stunt scene caused two herniated discs in her neck.

She also accused the show of having unsafe work conditions which allegedly caused one crew member to sustain third degree burns “over his whole body”.

When approached for comment, a spokesman for Warner Bros. TV Group said, “Despite the revisionist history that Ruby Rose is now sharing online aimed at the producers, the cast and crew, the network, and the Studio, the truth is that Warner Bros. Television had decided not to exercise its option to engage Ruby for season two of Batwoman based on multiple complaints about workplace behaviour that were extensively reviewed and handled privately out of respect for all concerned.”

Rose, 35, announced her departure from the show in May last year, after it had already been renewed for a second season.

The former Orange is the New Black star was later replaced by American actor Javicia Leslie.
