IT is the two-drink rule aimed at protecting Bachelor in Paradise contestants from themselves.

With shooting in Fiji done and dusted and the episodes currently airing, producers on the Fiji set allowed contestants just two drinks per hour starting from midday, but only if they had eaten breakfast.

“Duty of care for participants is taken very seriously with support provided throughout their whole experience,” a Warner Bros spokesman said, adding the rules stipulated contestants were allowed to drink just single shots that “must be with a mixer”

Contestant Laurina Fleure also revealed there were strict guidelines relating to sexual relations between the contestants, after a sexual misconduct scandal on the US version of the show.

“If anybody was caught frolicking intimately then production had the right to burst in the door and say, ‘Are you consenting?’,” she said.
