Confidential can reveal that McLeod cheated on Hyde after they left the show. When pushed, the couple opened up about the infidelity.

“There was some trust broken between us ... I take responsibility for that,” McLeod said.

“That was hard to deal with.

“Unfortunately some things happen which are out of your control. Once the trust is broken it is really hard to come back,” Hyde said.

While both parties refused to open up about the details of the cheating, it’s understood that McLeod was intimate with another woman after three months of dating.

“I don't want to go into detail,” Hyde said yesterday.

A source close to the couple told Confidential McLeod made the relationship-ending decision on a boys night out.

“He was out with the lads and hooked up with a 19-year-old girl,” the insider said.

“He is in his mid ‘30s and he is still making stupid decisions like this.”

While McLeod said the pair’s relationship has been civil since they split, Hyde said she had not spoke to her former flame since she broke it off after finding out about his cheating ways.

Both are currently single and focusing on their respective businesses.

For Hyde, her days on reality TV trying to find love are over.

“I now think that I am someone who needs to find love the old fashioned way,” she said.

“There is something about meeting someone organically that is good.”

As the first male contestant to enter Paradise, Turnbull said the experience was “enjoyable” but that his time was “definitely up”.

“I didn’t necessarily go in to find love, and the fact I didn’t find anyone wasn’t a massive surprise,” he said.

“I knew I’d make some good friends and have a good time, but I didn’t want to put too much pressure on myself.”
