SOPHIE Monk may have been unlucky in love on The Bachelorette but producers have hinted a happy ending is in store for at least two contestants on the upcoming series Bachelor In Paradise.
Channel 10 last night unveiled its first TV ad for the series shot in Fiji, which will premiere later in the year and will see a raft of familiar faces from past Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons coming together for another chance at finding love.
Having previously announced a number of contestants, the promo revealed three more Bachelor women to appear in the series — Florence Moerenhout, from Matty J’s series, Ali Oetjen, who competed on the first seasons of The Bachelor starring Tim Robards, and Lisa Hyde, who placed second when Blake Garvey fronted the show.
But the big news in the promo is word of a marriage proposal.
“We shared their heartbreak,” a voiceover states. “But as one door closes, another opens. All your favourite bachelors and bachelorettes here for another chance at love. There will be love. There will be heartache. And there will be ... a proposal.”
Previously announced contestants include Laurina Fleure, Apollo Jackson, Keira Maguire, Tara Pavlovic, Michael Turnbull and Davey Lloyd.
Jarrod Woodgate is also in the mix.
He came second to Stu Laundy on Monk’s season of The Bachelorette. Monk and Laundy announced they’d split last month.
