Controversial comedian Kevin Hart is looking for positives as an Aussie becomes a front runner to replace him as the host of the 2019 Oscars.
Oscars organisers are scrambling to find a replacement host after the US funny man was forced to stand down following his refusal to apologise for a series of homophobic tweets.

Hart, who is about to begin an Australian tour, walked away from the high-profile gig at the world’s most glamorous awards ceremony — less than 48 hours after being named as host — after a furore over homophobic jokes he made in 2009 and 2010 erupted online.
With organisers of the Academy Awards now without a host for their February event, Aussie comedian Hannah Gadsby is a rumoured possibility.
Gadsby was the talk of the US comedy scene with her 2018 series Nanette and was a hit as a presenter at the Emmys.
Instead of dwelling on the negative, Hart was promoting his record-breaking Aussie tour.
“It has been recorded that I am the all-time highest-grossing comedian to ever come to Australia with tickets sold,” Hart said as he touched down in Brisbane.
“It’s because of you, my fans. I love you. I’m on cloud nine. Thank you so much Australia.”
