Aussie leading male models Jarrod Scott and Jordan Barrett still humble, down to earth as career grows

WHEN it comes to male models, Jarrod Scott and Jordan Barrett are without a doubt Australia’s biggest names.

WHEN it comes to male models, Jarrod Scott and Jordan Barrett are without a doubt Australia’s biggest names.

Considered supermodels around the world, with clients including Tom Ford, Chanel, Armani, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Givenchy and Jimmy Choo, both are enjoying the fast rise to the top.

“I have been doing a lot of editorial of late and shooting a lot of stuff overseas,” Scott told Confidential.

“At the moment I am focusing on the snow and taking it job by job,” I have a lot of projects going on.”

While Barrett, who is just as well know for his modelling as he is for his famous friends who include Paris Hilton, Lara Stone, Kate Moss and Suki Waterhouse, claims his high flying life isn’t as glamorous as it seems.

“The opportunities we get are really great and it looks a certain way, but those images are from sets,” Barrett said.
“The opportunities are amazing, but it is work. My life might look a certain way but behind the scenes is a bunch of cameras and a set.

“This (modelling) was never something I chose or thought about doing to start with. But moving to the United States has opened so many doors for me. I am not sure what’s next or what my future will hold. Right now, I am going to keep going at it.”

Both men — former GQ Man of Style award winners — will be front row and centre at tonight’s GQ Men of the Year Awards with Scott returning for the third time.

“I like that the GQ Australia team feels like a family to me, it’s been a great year shooting back to back issues and whenever I’m back in Sydney it’s good to see all of the team and Nick especially,” he said.

“I enjoy the GQ Men of the Year event there’s always so many interesting people in the room to talk to. I’m looking forward to meeting Chris Evans — I’m really into the Marvel series, so it will be great to meet him on the night. And I’ll definitely be getting some schmoozing tips from Jon Hamm.”
