COULD 2018 be the year of Jen and Joel? Rumours are swirling throughout Hollywood that Aussie playboy Joel Edgerton has romanced ­Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence.

The pair are currently on the promotional tour for their film Red Sparrow and their flirty behaviour has caught the attention of the world with the co-stars often seen having ­private moments, chatting and giggling together.

Yesterday they were getting very cosy on the red carpet for the New York premiere for the spy film. Neither have spoken publicly about the rumours.

Edgerton last week did weigh in on controversy surrounding a recent London photo shoot were Lawrence posed in a sexy, revealing black dress while her male co-stars rugged up in coats for the cold weather.
“I don’t know that Jen gets up and checks the weather. Maybe that’s the problem,” he said. “Maybe she needs another person to check the weather for her. And besides, you didn’t see the ­bikini that I was going to wear.

“But if you’re asking me why I didn’t give Jen my coat, I was scared the designer (Versace) was going to hate my guts for covering up the beautiful dress.

“But the thing is, there is a certain expectation for women (to look glamorous). And look, I am sure there are a bunch of people who would have found reason to criticise it if Jen was wearing a pair of Levi’s or track pants and a duffel coat.”

Edgerton would not be the first Aussie who Lawrence courted. She has admitted that she had a moment with her Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth, confessing the pair became close and locked lipped off camera.
