Abbie Chatfield has confirmed her new love is also in the entertainment industry, making their connection even stronger.
Rumours have swirled suggesting the popular media identity is dating muso Adam Hyde, of Peking Duk fame, although Chatfield is yet to officially confirm her new love’s identity.
“We really understand each other so yeah he is in the industry,” Chatfield told The Daily Telegraph.
“That is why it is also great. I’m very happy. He’s very wonderful and talented and funny and I’ve never been treated this nicely. It is great and he is great.”
Chatfield spoke to The Telegraph to mark production completing on the second season of hit BINGE series, FBoy Island Australia, in northern NSW.
The series will air later this year and will see three women faced with choosing a partner from 24 suitors, half of whom are FBoys, or players, and the other half being genuinely in the game for love.
“This season is as drama-filled but in really different ways,” Chatfield explained.
“The stories along the way are way more complex and I think the three leading women did such an amazing job at supporting each other, really doing detective work and being steadfast. They had some hard conversations with each other along the way as well, which I think is what real friendship is all about.”
Chatfield said she changed tact during filming – last year taking an “angry teacher” approach while this year was more “silly sister”.
Last year, while filming the first season, Chatfield told the Telegraph she would stay single for a year after a difficult break-up.
“I don’t have the best track record,” she said.
“Not FBoys, I just date men who are accidentally manipulative, undercommunicative, and then that makes me feel shit. I am dating, the roster is full. I am still seeing people but just not getting into a relationship.”
Chatfield rose to fame off the back of appearing as a contestant on The Bachelor before embarking on her own career as a television, radio and podcast host.
