Aaron Favaloro’s featureless art favoured by the Kardashians, Beyonce and Oprah Winfrey

Former fashion student Aaron Favaloro has built a successful business out of drawing “faceless” illustrations for celebrities of the world such as the Kardashians, Beyonce, Oprah Winfrey and fashion icon Jean-Paul Gaultier.

Northern beaches artist Aaron Favaloro has found himself the go to illustrator of the Kardashian clan.

The former fashion student has built a successful business out of drawing illustrations.

“My trademark is basically to draw people without their facial features so the focus is on their style and fashion rather than how they look,” Favaloro told Confidential.

“It can’t be too literal, it has to have an element of fantasy to it. It is fashion, edgy, melds the line between people being illustrated but also working with high end luxury brands and it always brings a unique fashion approach.”

Other celebrities to have his pieces include Gigi Hadid, Oprah Winfrey, Jean Paul Gaultier and Demi Moore.

While 33-year-old has worked with major international brands, most of his work is done out of his home studio in Elanora.

“I have never had a plan with the celebrities I’ve worked with,” he said.

“It has all happened organically. One thing has led to another, either a celebrity has reached out to me personally or it has been a family member that has been a friend. I don’t like it to be too contrived or planned out, that is the way I like to work. When there is a cool creative energy in the air, it just seems to work.”

He can make anywhere from $600 to thousands of dollars for a piece of art.

Favaloro’s commissioned works sell for anything from $600 into the thousands of dollars depending on the size and work involved.

For the months of July and August he has teamed up with West Hotel in Barangaroo, the first Curio Collection by Hilton. He is artist in residence for the hotel’s third annual Meet The Creatives initiative, where he will create special works for guests.
