Robbie Williams has asked Aussie pop icon Kylie Minogue to join him at this year’s AFL grand final.
The headline act at the MCG, Williams who has a duet called Kids with Minogue, said he would perform a 19-minute set before the game.
“I need to ask her, maybe I should do that on this radio station right here, right now,’’ Williams told FOX FM’s Fifi, Fev and Nick.
“Kylie, please come and sing with me. I’d love it if you did.”
Williams wouldn’t confirm what he was singing on the day, but hinted one song isn’t his.
“I cannot confirm or deny … (but) I will be singing a song that isn’t a Robbie Williams song,’’ he said.
“I’ll just put that out there.”
His new album called 25 is out this Friday.
Also performing at the grand final is a homegrown group of stars, with Goanna, known for their hit song Solid Rock, to join first nations performers Christine Anu, Emma Donovan, Tasman Keith and William Barton.
They join G Flip, Mike Brady, The Temper Trap featuring Budjerah and Ngaiire, and Katie Noonan.
Williams said he was a Carlton fan.
“I think I have a penchant for Carlton, I’ve been told that I need to support somebody, and I believe that’s who and I like the jersey, I like the blue.”
