OnlyFans star Mikaela Testa has announced a surprise backflip, revealing she and fiance Maxwell Krause will now move to the United States just weeks after declaring she was leaving Australia for Germany “for good” due to rising Gold Coast crime.
The influencer, 25, shocked followers earlier this month when she announced she had packed up her $2.7m “marble mansion” and was relocating to Frankfurt indefinitely, citing safety concerns and paparazzi-style harassment.
But in a new TikTok post, Testa explained that Germany was only ever a temporary base while the couple sorted out their visa situation.
“We’re moving to America,” she said.
“We know there’s a giant stigma around people moving to the United States, particularly influencers, and especially at a time like this … but my fiance here is from the United States, and he has been living in Australia with me now for over a year and his visa just finished up.
“And now we have come to Germany to stay in Europe for three months … until our visa is approved.”
Krause said the confusion about her “move” to Germany had been “misleading”.
“So I guess the whole terms of ‘moving to Germany’ is a little misleading. It’s more so ‘moving out of Australia’.
Testa added: “We couldn’t stay (in Australia), and we think it’s just better to be a bit more honest and just say the reason why we actually did leave Australia, as well as me being scared of people turning up at the house,” she said.
The influencer also made it clear it had nothing to do with getting a green card.
“I’m from Australia — a very wealthy, beautiful country. I’m not an asylum seeker. They said that I’m using Max for a green card. It’s is so ridiculous,” she said.
“Max and I have been speaking since 2022. We met in Japan … then we fell in love. Then he got a visa for Australia, and he stayed in Australia for a year.”
Testa said the couple would continue travelling across Europe until their US visa came through, adding it had been “difficult” not being able to spend time with Krause’s family due to her residency status.
“We’ve been meeting up with his family outside the United States because at the moment, I can’t go there, so it’s kind of been really difficult doing that and just kind of country hopping,” she said.
Her move comes just two years after she was detained and deported from the US in a highly publicised 2023 incident, during which she spent 30 hours in a detention cell at LAX.
In her latest video, she clarified she was sent back to Australia because she “didn’t have the correct visa type.”
The shift marks the latest chapter in the social media star’s turbulent year, following her highly publicised fallout with ex-best friend Anna Paul and claims of a toxic relationship with former boyfriend Atis Paul.
AXED BUT NOT ALONE
It was a glittering show of support — and perhaps a pointed statement — as Brisbane’s biggest Broncos stars turned out in force for Martin and wife Michelle Taupau’s luxe business launch, just weeks after his shock axing from the club.
Taupau, cut by the Broncos following a headline-making social media scandal, made his stylish return to the spotlight on Wednesday night with the launch of a new Not Stationary product at a glittering event hosted in collaboration with Affinity Diamonds at Fortitude Valley’s five-star Calile Hotel.
And the guest list spoke volumes.
Despite wrapping up an intense training session earlier that day, a who’s who of Broncos players and WAGs arrived early and eager, breaking their usual no-events-during-training rule to support Taupau.
Captain Adam Reynolds, hooker Billy Walters, halfback Ben Hunt and assistant coach Matt Ballin were all spotted among the crowd.
Meanwhile, WAGs sipped champagne and browsed Affinity’s dazzling displays — the same jewellers behind the NRL premiership rings, Dally M Medals and the Origin’s coveted Wally Lewis Medal.
In a surprise twist, former Broncos coach Kevin Walters — who originally brought Taupau to Red Hill — made an appearance alongside wife Narelle, standing quietly but clearly in support of his former player.
Guests including Kotoni Staggs and fiancee Brittany Becht, as well as rekindled couple Patrick Carrigan and Bronte Gildea, toasted the launch and trialled Not Stationary’s unreleased conversation cards in a bespoke video booth experience.

It’s 100 shows and counting for Nova’s re-energised breakfast crew — and the chemistry’s clearly working.
On Tuesday morning, Ash Bradnam, David “Luttsy” Lutteral and the team’s latest addition, comedian, TV personality and Qweekend columnist Nikki Osborne, celebrated their 100th show together since Osborne replaced long-time co-host and swimming icon Susie O’Neill in January.
And while O’Neill’s departure marked the end of an era, Osborne has proven to be something of a lucky charm — with the trio notching up two straight radio ratings wins in the hotly contested Brisbane breakfast market since her arrival.
“It was rather nice getting a second survey win under the belt,” Osborne joked.
“Made it look less like a fluke.”
Reflecting on the past six months, Osborne said the early mornings hadn’t dulled the fun — or the silliness.
“Some days the delirium sets in and we have the silliest moments where we get the giggles,” she said. “A bit like sleepovers in primary school.”
Still, even Nova’s golden girl admits breakfast radio has its challenges.
“Sometimes I can be a bit of a grumpy bum that time of day,” she said. “It takes every bit of self-control to put on a smile and act normal. You know, like in marriage. Only half a million people are listening.”
JMO’S BOOK TOUR HITS QLD

Described as part memoir, part self-help, the book covers everything from childhood sexual abuse, addiction, and suicide attempts to the tools and coping mechanisms that helped Moran claw his way back. It’s a raw, real and often funny account of life behind the red carpets.
“I’ve basically used my story as an example that we’re all battling our own stuff — and that we’re all mental in our own way,” Moran said.
“I wanted to provide something practical for people who might be struggling, not just dump my trauma on them.”
But it’s not all heavy.
As Scoop can reveal, there are some cracking stories — including one involving Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher, who once invited Moran to her Sydney hotel room for hours of unfiltered storytelling.
“She saw a fragility in me that she had too,” he said. “It was a beautiful connection.”
Brisbane’s launch will feature a “smattering of celebrities”, including Ali Simpson, Marty and Michelle Taupau and Conrad Sewell also expected to attend.
Mental As Anyone is out now, with forewords by Gus Worland and Guy Sebastian and practical mental health advice from Dr Jodie Lowinger.
