There is now undeniable evidence for fans of Australia’s newest power couple after Panthers premiership hero Nathan Cleary was snapped picking up Matildas star Mary Fowler at Sydney Airport.

Fowler, 21, touched down on an Emirates flight from Dubai on Tuesday night.

The pair embraced and shared a kiss before Cleary picked up one of her bags, carrying it out of the terminal

The Penrith captain, 26, kept it casual, wearing black shorts with a brown T-shirt while Fowler opted for light blue jeans, a sand button up shirt and a black hat.

The pair first went public with their relationship when they were photographed in each other’s arms in a Perth park last month.

The Panther was later spotted watching Mary Fowler play for the Matildas at HBF Park, where she broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute when she unleashed a sensational strike from the edge of the box that cannoned into the top right corner.

The NRL halfback has been distant from Fowler since then, with the Matildas gun returning to England to play for Manchester City while Cleary has been making the most of NRL’s off-season window with a holiday in the United States.

Mary Fowler was front and centre at the Rise & Shine Kindergarten in Carlton on Wednesday morning after she was announced as the business’s new ambassador.

Despite the new romance revelations, Fowler was stopped from answering questions about Cleary from a P.R representative.

The young footballer did however speak of plans to visit her flood-affected family in Queensland.

“The airport was shut but I think it’s open today so I’m hoping by the time I fly out there it will be all good,” Fowler said.

“I have been sent videos and stuff, and it’s kind of scary to see.

“You never know when these things are goning to happen and what damages they’re going to cause.”

Earlier this month, Cleary played down the romance when Confidential’s Jonathon Moran asked him about it at the GQ Awards in Sydney.

“I’m just here by myself. No plus-one”.

When asked where Fowler was, the 26-year-old had a laugh and said “I knew this was coming, she’s busy.”

Despite being one of the biggest names in Australian sport, Cleary admitted public interest in his personal life is foreign territory.

“Obviously it’s different from when I was young coming into first grade and people are dissecting my game. I hadn’t had that before,” Cleary said.

“That was a hurdle at the time. You start to learn to deal with that.”

But there are some familiarities to the jump in profile.

“It’s also pretty similar to (personal life). I haven’t had too many people look into my personal life. But it’s just what comes with it. It’s something that I can’t control,” he said.

“I just got to keep moving on and not read into it too much.”

Rumours spread rapidly about a romance between the two star athletes since they were spotted together on separate occasions following the Matildas impressive performance at the World Cup.

Penrith locals were quick to catch a glimpse of the 25-year-old NRL player taking a scenic stroll along the River Nepean with the 20-year-old star striker, with exclusive images shared with The Daily Telegraph.

Just prior the pair were spotted together sharing an ice cream following a promotional event by Adidas, who sponsor both athletes.

Cleary is due to be in the UK when Penrith head to Wigan for the World Club Challenge on February 25 (AEDT) — a mere 30km from Fowler’s base in Manchester.
