Long lines are forming at merchandise tents on the first day of Taylor Swift’s much-anticipated Australian Eras Tour while huge hauls emerge online showing just how much a Swiftie is willing to part with.

Before 9am on Friday, on the morning of the first of three Melbourne shows, pictures on social media showed a crowd gathering at the external merchandise tents outside the MCG.

They were not supposed to open until 12pm.

Now the place is swarming with fans trying to get their hands on memorabilia.

An Aussie called Anabelle posted a TikTok titled ‘leaving Melbourne poverty stricken’ — which gave viewers an overview of her almost $1000 haul.

She said she got three bags for $910 — and some of the items were for family or friends.

In the video she shows off a $50 tapestry, a $40 poster and a $40 drink bottle she purchased.

“I think it’s quite ridiculous that it was $40 for a water bottle,” she said.

As she moved onto the clothes, she said the sizing was “whack” adding she was glad she didn’t “size-up” as the sizes ran larger than average.

She paid $60 for each T-shirt and $120 for each jumper.

Anabelle also showed her two Swift-themed tattoos, a small 13 on her wrist and the words “all too well” on her forearm.

Merchandise can be purchased at the external tents from 12pm on show days, or inside the MCG at show time.

Ahead of Swift’s four Sydney shows next weekend, fans can get their merch on pre-sale days at Accor Stadium on Wednesday, February 21 and Thursday, February 22.

The Sydney leg of the tour begins on Friday, February 23.

Others on social media posted pictures of Eras Tour support act Sabrina Carpenter’s products — with prices ranging from $50 for a cap to $120 for a hooded jumper.

“The Sabrina merch is so cutie,” she said.
