Inside Taylor Swift’s rumoured $20k a night hotel room in Melbourne
Take a look inside the luxury hotels Taylor Swift is rumoured to be staying in during her time in Australia.
If Australia is feeling a little sparklier, it’s because one of the world’s most famous faces landed at Melbourne airport in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Taylor Swift’s flight to Australia originating in Honolulu, Hawaii, touched down at 12.50am, local time, giving her just less than 48 hours to settle in to Melbourne before her first show on Friday night.
Despite the late night arrival and chilly 14 degree temperatures, a loyal group of Swifties were there to greet her arrival, wrapped in blankets and carrying makeshift cardboard signs as they strained to catch a glimpse of Swift.
Swift will play three shows over three nights at the MCG from Friday in Melbourne.
She will then travel to Sydney for another four shows at Accor Stadium next weekend.
But the big question is for travel buffs like us is: which hotel has the superstar chosen to rest her head during her time in Australia?
The black vehicles Swift left Melbourne Airport in reportedly travelled to Crown Towers in Southbank, Melbourne.
It has long been rumoured that this is where the superstar would be staying during her time down under.
When Swift first announced the Australian leg of her Eras tour it was described by the promoter, Frontier Touring, as being “presented by Crown”. Crown has ticket giveaways and accommodation packages promoted on their site.
Previous sponsorship arrangements between Crown and the Australian Open and the Grand Prix have meant sports stars stay at their resorts.
It’s a fair guess that this partnership with Swift and Crown would mean she is staying at their hotels as part of the deal.
So let’s take a look at the luxury digs where everyone from Bill Gates, Beyonce George Clooney and Elton John have stayed.
The Crown Towers Melbourne Presidential Villa and Chairman’s Villa Penthouse are the city’s most expensive suites, with prices starting at $20,000 a night.
With a private butler and a whopping 11,000 square feet of space to flop around in, it’s the suite of choice for travelling celebs and dignitaries.
When Swift moves to Sydney, rumours are that she will continue staying with Crown and will check into Crown Towers Sydney (where they are currently running a $125pp Taylor Swift Eras Tour high tea in their Tea House).
The Presidential Villa at Crown Sydney boasts 800 sqm over two levels.
The first floor boasts an exquisitely designed, expansive living area, stylishly curated with bespoke furnishings.
The kitchen, bar, pool table, and media room are perfect for entertaining, while the dining room comfortably hosts up to 10 people.
There is also a fully equipped office and butler’s quarters, allowing for completely personalised service, provided for by your private butler.
The second floor’s spectacular master bedroom features a spacious bathroom complete with a marble spa bath and steam shower. A second king-size bedroom features a deluxe ensuite, with the luxury extending to the fitness room complete with infra-red sauna.
Indulge in relaxation in the massage suite or experience revitalisation and rejuvenation in the secondary living area that opens out onto an open-air terrace, complete with a heated, private infinity pool.
When Escape contacted Crown to have the megastar’s stay confirmed, they politely responded: “because of our guest privacy policy, we can’t discuss if anyone is staying at Crown for privacy reasons.”
