Pop star goes casual as she arrives in Australia: ‘You are so sweet’

A pint-sized pop star has touched down in Australia and was swarmed by a bunch of excited fans who were awaiting her arrival.

Taylor Swift’s opening act, pop singer Sabrina Carpenter, has arrived in Australia ahead of the highly anticipated Eras Tour.

Carpenter, 24, touched down at Melbourne airport on Thursday and was immediately greeted by excited fans.

The singer was looking surprisingly fresh for someone who had just stepped off a long-haul flight.

She also seemed more than happy to greet her enthusiastic fans and genuinely touched they were waiting for her.

Carpenter stopped, chatted to the crowd, and said it was her first time singing in Australia.

“Oh, you are so sweet,” she declared.

She also asked the fans what shows they were going to and promised to try and perform her best on those nights for them.

She even accepted a few gifts and was seen holding a stuffed soft toy koala.

“Thank you so much! My First Koala,” she gushed.

Interestingly, despite becoming a big name in music, she wasn’t doing the classic celebrity airport walk. She wasn’t trying to hide her face with comically large sunglasses and sneak past fans into a waiting luxury car.

Nope, she was happily embracing the fanfare, and it was a super cute moment to witness.

A fan uploaded a photo of their interaction, and while most people in the comments were just excited to see she’d landed in Australia, others were shocked to discover how petite the 24-year-old singer is. She stands at just 151cm.

“She’s so tiny and sweet,” one noted.

“How tall is she?” Another demanded.

“I love her, my pint-sized pop star!” Another declared.

The pop singer kept it casual in an oversized grey jumper that online sleuths immediately noticed is very similar to a jumper Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan owns.

The two have recently been spotted hanging out together in LA, but neither has confirmed if they are dating.

The two are a slightly unlikely Hollywood couple because she’s a glossy former Disney Channel star who got her start on Girl Meets World, while he’s a critically acclaimed actor from a working-class background in Ireland.

Carpenter has found huge success in the past year, and it has finally managed to eclipse the Generation Z love triangle she became embroiled in back in 2021.

She famously dated Joshua Bassett right after Olivia Rodrigo did.

Rodrigo’s smash hit break-up song Driver’s License contains the lyrics, “You’re probably with that blonde girl”. Carpenter has been long rumoured to be that very blonde Rodrigo was singing about.
