Fans spot heartbreaking detail after Robert Irwin’s shock break-up

Fans have spotted a heartbreaking detail after Robert Irwin and Rorie Buckey announced their shock split on Saturday.

Robert Irwin and his former girlfriend Rorie Buckey have wasted no time in trying to move on following their split.

The pair, who have reportedly been dating for one year, announced the shock news that they had parted ways in joint statement on Instagram on Saturday morning.

After making the announcement, fans noticed a heartbreaking detail on both of the pair’s Instagram accounts.

Both Irwin and Buckey have deleted a flurry of pictures from their Instagram accounts.

Fans realised all the pictures were snaps that featured the pair together, meaning the former couple have effectively erased all evidence from their accounts that they were ever an item.

Furthermore, Buckey has also removed “wildlife warrior” from her bio, changed her profile from public to private and disabled the ability for others to comment on her pictures.

The pair left fans shocked on Saturday when they announced their split.

“We wanted to share that we have decided to go our separate ways but profoundly appreciate all of the time spent together and wish one another all the very best into the future,” the post shared on Buckey’s Instagram Stories read.

“We wish to express the gratitude and respect we have for one another as we continue our journey on different paths.”

Irwin and Buckey made their relationship public last July when they walked the red carpet at the Sydney premiere of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.

In December, Buckey announced on Instagram she had started working at Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, which Irwin runs with his mum Terri and sister Bindi.

The couple also enjoyed various international trips together, including a recent holiday to Canada with her family.

Irwin even revealed last month in a touching post that he could see a future with Buckey, who is the niece of late Perth-born actor Heath Ledger.

“R + R. Thanks for making my 2023 so bright. To many years ahead,” he said in an Instagram post.
