Annette Sharp: Proposed new Real Housewives member causing friction with veteran Krissy Marsh

The proposed casting of a much-talked-about and admired Double Bay beauty shop owner is creating headaches for Real Housewives of Sydney producers, writes Annette Sharp.

Real Housewives of Sydney – Reunion special

Even before cameras have begun to roll on the forthcoming second series of Real Housewives Of Sydney, the proposed casting of one much talked-about and admired Double Bay beauty shop owner is creating headaches for producers.

Linda Rogan has been turning heads in Double Bay with her statuesque Barbie doll looks and circle of all-age admirers for years.

Blonde “beauty addict” Rogan, as she describes herself on social media, is the latest Sydney glamazon to catch the eye of producers of Foxtel’s Real Housewives Of Sydney.

Mother of three Rogan runs a laser clinic in Double Bay.

Though married, Rogan has no shortage of male admirers. Among those who have previously “liked” her Instagram posts are former league players Sam Burgess and his big brother Luke, Western Bulldogs player Hayden Crozier, Jack Keighery — son of Marcs fashion founder Mark Keighery — and original Real Housewife Of Sydney star Nicole Gazal O’Neil.

But it seems not everyone is a fan of 40-something Rogan, who raised eyebrows with her choice of attire at some events at Kambala girls school at Rose Bay and Cranbrook boys school in Bellevue Hill, where her children attend.

While her penchant for clingy body-revealing garments at school events may have set pulses racing and made Rogan something of a popular fixture, they’ve also drawn the disapproval of older and more conservative school community members.

Among those in the latter camp is said to be Krissy Marsh, who along with Gazal O’Neil is one of only two original Housewives invited back to the Sydney franchise after its six-year sabbatical.

Former model Marsh, who is married to property developer John Marsh, recently upgraded to a $30 million home in Double Bay and a $10 million holiday retreat at Noosa.

According to sources, Marsh has given producers an ultimatum: If they cast Rogan, she’s out.

She previously threatened to quit the show after a castmate made an unwelcome comment about her family on the show. She has three children.

The stand-off has created a dilemma for producers including, we hear, new producer Amy Kohn, recently imported from the US where she was previously the executive producer of the Real Housewives Of New Jersey.

Kohn relocated to Australia last year, joining Foxtel seven months ago.

Neither Marsh, Rogan nor Kohn returned our attempts to reach them for comment yesterday.
